The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) and UNESCO Memory of the World PERSIST Project have launched the Executive Guide on Digital Preservation (1 May 2019).
The guide provides practitioners in the memory and heritage institutions, commercial organizations, government bodies and not-for-profit organizations with information to create awareness and rationale to prompt action by senior executives, legislators and budget holders as well as decision and policy makers need to embed digital preservation at the core of every organization.
Interactive and customizable, the Executive Guide is an online and accessible collection of resources, available to all free of charge through the DPC website.
The development of the Executive Guide is supported by UNESCO/MoW/PERSIST . UNESCO Member States each have a role in implementing the UNESCO Recommendation concerning the Preservation of, and Access to, Documentary Heritage Including in Digital Form.
The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) has been established to secure our digital legacy. Its mission is to enable DPC members to deliver resilient long-term access to digital content and services, helping them to derive enduring value from digital assets and raising awareness of the strategic, cultural and technological challenges they face.
